Rachel Beetz and Heidi Ross have been passing scores back and forth since 2023, with the intention of building a language between taste and sound. Rachel sent Heidi a score for two perfect oscillators. Two months later, Heidi sent back instructions on how to prepare steamed eggs. Perfectly contained, life giving, simplistic eggs. This “simple” response fortified how Rachel now creates sound as a sense project. It wasn’t about getting the perfect bowl or having the perfect ingredients. Rachel followed Heidi’s instructions. As she was eating the eggs, she felt the collaboration between the two of them grow inside her.
