“Ryan/John/Mike” is a live document of three Californian improvisers. Bay Area musician John Diaz, known for his work with celebrated groups “Murder Murder” and “Foreign Domestic”, traveled to Los Angeles to perform with Mike Meanstreetz (LA) and Ryan Ebaugh (San Diego).
While Mike and Ryan have improvised together across the country as a drum/sax duo, this performance shifts the dynamic. John takes on drums while Mike moves to electronics. Together, this trio creates textures and cohesive movements that reflect the possibilities of improvisation.
