MP3 - Song For Che from Beacon of Hope (zum004, licensed from Patsy Records)

Sea Scouts came all the way from the end of the earth, Tasmania. Their second album, Beacon of Hope entered our lives and we knew that we had to bring them to America. Led by the howling vocals of Tim Evans and Alex Pope, Sea Scouts produced churning guitar and bass whirlwinds of feedback and tonal intensity. Monika Fikerle's pounding toms gelled the songs into primal forces. They moved to Melbourne, released two albums on Patsy Records (the first, Pattern Recognition, was issued on vinyl by Chapter Music), toured incessantly and finally made it out to America and Europe before disbanding.

Tim now plays in the Bird Blobs and Alex is in Tasmania playing in a band called Vodka Party. Past members of Sea Scouts have played in Mouth, Ninety Nine, No Neck Blues Band, Flying Phallus, and Deathbed Conversion.
